ABOUT THE SHOW:

You know it. You love it. The annual holiday party at the office. The party-planner who cares a little bit too much. The secretary who drinks a little bit too much. The drunken karaoke. The one-night stands. And of course, the holiday cheer. You're invited to our Office Holiday Party Musical Extravaganza Show. Wear your favorite holiday attire and prepare to witness (and participate in) the party of the year. You won't regret it. CHARACTERS
Characters have changed and evolved from year to year, but here are some of our favorite descriptions. Please note, there are several characters return, and this is not a list of characters that are or are not available, but examples of character types!

• Jan (the heart and soul of the Office) 

• Leslie Pfister (the boss' son, eternal stoner)

• Finnegan Freeman (Bible-thumper, obvious homosexual, bigoted conservative)

• Faith Freeman (Bible-thumper, oblivious to her husbands blatant homosexuality, bigoted conservative)

• Karen from HR (exactly how she sounds...Karen...from HR)

• Debra (the one who gets way to drunk at the holiday office party, obsessed with ex husband, angry)

• Sheila (a proudly Jewish talker)

• Chastitty Belt (the sexual social media queen)

• Amber (the (lesbian) intern)

• Paris Anna Nicole (a complete cartoon, unintelligible character in drag) 

• Yolanda (the DJ/caterer/decorator/IT Person, very dry, sardonic, and hates everyone at the party)

• Eileen (from Corporate ...grumpy with a heart of gold) 

• Ed (the oblivious office punching bag, the butt of every joke, who loves everyone at the Office)

• The Caterer(s)/Bartender
   

SUBMIT/PREPARE

Please submit a headshot and resume as well as a video of a comedic monologue and/or16-32 bar cut of a song. This can be a Musical Theatre or Holiday song, one you’ve created, or one you already have on tape! Please see more specific info below:
 

Actors/Singers - we would love to hear a specific (written) character pitch for your submission! Actors are very much involved in the creation of their characters in the show.

• Write out as many possible characters as you can think of! Be weird! Give us ideas of how you could potentially fit into the world.

• Not every character needs to be a strong singer, but please send in a video that you have of you singing
  (don't feel the need to record something new)

• Character pitch does not have to connect with a storyline or character you may have previously seen in the show!

• It is completely optional to include a video of you trying out some of those characters with some improv 
  (think guest at an office holiday party and what kinds of interactions you may have)

• If you've worked at the Ren and we know you well, don't feel the need to spend too much time on a new video

Dancers for the Exxxtravaganza Show, please submit a headshot and resume as well as a recent dance/performance reel! Don't feel the need to create a new reel for this submission, just send us something you already have and if you've worked at the Ren before, we don't need a video reel, just let us know you're interested.
